The multi-disciplinary staff of Midwest Health Management Services include on-staff physicians, licensed mental health professionals, and licensed addiction professionals. We are dedicated to assisting individuals to improve the quality of their lives.
AMANDA MCKNELLY, MS, LAC
Amanda has over 18 years of experience in working with individuals who have acute psychiatric issues and with individuals who have substance use related issues. She has worked with licensed medical professionals in various capacities including assisting in case management with HPAP and as a provider through a local agency.
MARIA PIACENTINO, MA, LPC-MH, LAC, QMHP
Maria has over 28 years of experience assisting health care professionals who are experiencing emotional, and substance use related concerns. She understands the unique challenges and pressures within the healthcare industry and believes support and advocacy for professionals can significantly contribute to enhancing the overall well-being of healthcare professionals and the quality of care they provide to patients.
SHERRY GRISMER, MA, LPC-MH, LAC, QMHP
Sherry has over 28 years of experience in mental health and addiction counseling, with a particular focus on grief, trauma and sleep disorders. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, Imagery Rehearsal Therapy for Nightmares and is actively pursuing her Diplomate in Behavioral Sleep Medicine. Sherry is passionate about helping her clients achieve well-being through evidence-based interventions, all framed within a trauma-informed care approach.
SUE HARRIS, MA, LPC-MH, LAC
Sue has been a substance abuse counselor for more than 28 years and is also a licensed mental health counselor in South Dakota. She has experience as a business owner and manager and has worked in various treatment environments.
CRAIG UTHE, MD
Dr. Uthe serves as the Medical Consultant for Midwest Health Management Services, LLC. and for the HPAP contracts. Dr. Uthe is an American Board Certified Family Practice Physician and belongs to the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the SD Medical Association and the Federation of State Physician Health Programs.
ELIZABETH JENSEN, DO
Dr. Jensen serves as the Lead Physician for The Physician Well-Being Program, sponsored by The South Dakota State Medical Association. Dr. Jensen is an American Board Certified Family Practice Physician and is a voting member of the Federation of State Physician Health Programs.
